Patients will begin to see improved after the initial healing phase, which takes about 5 days. Improvements will continue for about 3 months, which is the amount of time it takes for collagen to build up within the skin.
What makes fractional CO2 laser different from traditional CO2 laser treatment?
Fractional CO2 laser is a one-time treatment with a shorter recovery process because the beam formed within the laser is fractionated thereby only treating a fraction of the skin. Because of this difference, the laser leaves behind healthy and intact skin bridges in-between the treated areas.

The results of CO2 laser are permanent.

Are all fractional CO2 laser treatments the same?
Because all laser manufacturers have different associated properties, they all differ in energy profiles and therefore the technique in application will vary. It is important to understand that not all laser treatments will achieve the same results. Because of this fact, patients should address their specific goals prior to their procedure to achieve their desired results.
Do fractional CO2 lasers help with redness of the skin or red spots?
Fractional CO2 lasers do not have the wavelength strength to treat redness, which is often caused by small blood vessels on the surface of the skin. Other lasers would be more appropriate for treating this concern.
Can this be combined with any other procedures?
The CO2 laser can be combined with other surgical procedures such as a facelift and rhinoplasty.
