What Is NeoGraft®?

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a superior method of hair transplantation. Hair grafts are removed without incisions and transplanted to the desired location. While this can be completed manually with forceps, it is a slow, tedious and expensive process. NeoGraft is an FDA-approved hair transplant method that utilizes robotic technology to perform FUE hair restoration faster, with a higher success rate. Pneumatic pressure is used for extraction – patients will not need incisions or sutures, offering quicker healing, less pain and no visible scarring.

FUE for Revision Hair Transplant Procedures

The NeoGraft system is ideal for patients who desire a revision hair transplant. Linear scars from the donor area are a common complaint from those who received strip (FUT) hair transplants or other previous methods. With FUE, hair follicles can be moved to cover linear scars or to add more fullness to other areas of the scalp. If you want to cover scarring or you did not receive the hairline or thickness you desired with your previous hair restoration surgery, FUE revision hair transplant may be perfect for you.

The NeoGraft procedure can be performed under local anesthesia. Patients do not experience pain during the hair extraction and placement process. Recovery time is usually 7-10 days to allow the follicles to heal and allow scabs to fall off – patients can return to most normal activities within a few days.
