Stem Cell Facelift

Stem cells can be found throughout the body and act as “blank” cells to create new cells for all types of tissue. There are different types of stem cells, some adult stem cells residing in fatty tissue or bone marrow, whereas other stem cells are found in amniotic fluid and the placenta at birth. A stem cell facelift can use injections of stem cells to rejuvenate the skin cells in the face, improving the skin tone, texture and firmness.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Facelift

Another option in regenerative cosmetic treatments is harnessing the healing properties of platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, for rejuvenating the skin. PRP contains growth factors that can help stimulate collagen production and healing of aging skin. PRP is derived from a patient’s own blood. A small sample of blood is filtered through a centrifuge to create the concentrated platelets, which are sterilized and injected into the skin. A PRP facelift is often combined with microneedling to induce higher collagen production and an improved rejuvenating response in the skin.
