Neuromodulators like Dysport® offer cosmetic benefits for smoothing lines and wrinkles, as well as reducing other effects of muscle contraction. Dysport offers an alternative to Botox, providing similar results with a slightly different formula. Our aesthetics team at LM Medical NYC offers Dysport injections for smile lines, crow’s feet and frown line treatment at our clinics in Manhattan.

dysport

Dysport injections work by relaxing targeted muscles. This can smooth certain dynamic lines, including the “11” lines between the brows, horizontal lines on the forehead and certain other facial wrinkles. Dysport contains a form of neurotoxin that blocks nerve signals to muscles, reducing contraction. This can help smooth lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. Other possible treatments include:

  • Non-surgical brow lift
  • Gummy smile treatment
  • Face-slimming or masseter reduction
  • Neck band reduction

Dysport injections can be performed in a quick office visit, usually completed in less than a half hour. There are few side effects. Some patients may have some minimal bruising, but this can be minimized by following recommendations of limiting strenuous exercising and certain blood-thinning agents. Results are typically visible within a few days but can take up to two weeks for the full effect.

Benefits of Dysport Treatment

Dysport injections are a non-invasive, safe option for reducing certain lines and wrinkles. Some of our patients prefer Dysport over Botox. Both offer similar effects, but in some cases, Dysport may be a better option. Patients can see results last for 3-4 months before treatment needs to be repeated for smoothing lines or producing other cosmetic effects.

Dysport injections are one of the many cosmetic treatments we offer at LM Medical NYC to keep our patients looking excellent at every age. To learn more about Dysport and other cosmetic treatments, contact us at our clinics in Greenwich Village and the Upper East Side.
