More and more men are seeking cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery to help them look their best throughout their lifetime. Whether it is nose reshaping as a teenager, Botox in their forties, or a facelift in their sixties, male cosmetic treatments have been increasing in volume every year. The following are some of the most common male facial cosmetic procedures performed to maintain male facial aesthetics.
This procedure, also known as a nose job, can improve the size, shape, and overall appearance of your nose. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), 65,121 male nose jobs were performed in 2020. Rhinoplasty has been one of the most requested plastic surgeries for men for decades.
A facelift can tighten loose skin and smooth out wrinkles on the face and neck, giving you a more youthful appearance. Male facelifts can help older men look more like their younger selves, improving their confidence professionally and in social situations. According to ASPS, over 18,000 male facelifts were performed in 2020.
Eyelid Lift Surgery
Also known as blepharoplasty, this procedure can help eliminate excess skin and fat around the eyes, reducing the appearance of bags and dark circles. Male blepharoplasty can be completed on the upper or lower eyelids. ASPS revealed that 45.806 male eyelid lifts were performed in 2020.
Botox and other neuromodulators can temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the muscles in your face. By far, neuromodulator injections were the most requested cosmetic treatment by men in 2020, with ASPS reporting over 265,000 treatments.
If you have a weak or receding chin, chin augmentation can improve your facial profile and balance out your features – a chin implant can create a more masculine jawline and create the illusion of a smaller nose. Cheek implants also can transform the male face and give it a more attractive or youthful appearance. ASPS reported over 35,000 chin and cheek augmentations in 2020.
Laser Skin Treatments
Laser treatments can be used for many skin imperfections and for permanent hair removal. Many men are seeking laser skin treatments to look their best at every age. According to ASPS, men received 122,190 laser hair removal treatments and 125,571 laser skin resurfacing treatments in 2020.
Dermal fillers are fantastic for providing volume under the skin. These injections can be used to plump under deep lines or wrinkles or to change the contours of the face. The ASPS report said men received 118,614 dermal filler treatments in 2020.
